Got up early this morning and drove to the southern side car park of Scrivener Dam. A 6:40Am start to a run that would be two loops of the west basin. At 5 degrees it was a quite chilly start to the run but I hoped the sun would warm things up. It didn't until halfway through the second loop.
I remember why I stopped running the bike path around the lake. F#*^&N cyclists who dress up in all the clothing and then do speed laps around the lake and force pedestrians off the track. These are people who probably only get out on weekends. If they were any good or serious they would be riding to the Cotter or other more taxing places. I have no time for them nor do I move aside for them.
I ran the first lap and stopped at the car to take on some fuel, then out for the second lap. I was happy with my pace for the first lap and the second lap was slightly slower. Overall a good run that should see my legs in good shape for the marathon.
I dropped my gear off at home and then went and stood in the water at Pine Is for 20 minutes. It's getting colder by the day.
