New Year, A New Beginning

Morning Run Distance:20.52Km
Afternoon Run Distance:Nil
Weekly Total:55.33
Monthly Total:20.52
Yearly Total:20.52
Running Calendar: I am training for the 6FT Track in March.

The first run of the year can shape how the rest of the year pan's out. With this in mind I set off on my run. An out and back the same as the last few runs. I'm using this as a barometer for how my injury is recovering. I concentrated on not pushing the pace or over striding but still running continuously. An excellent run in which I was able to keep running and finish the run in 2hrs 37mins, 50mins quicker than Sunday's run.

Tomorrow I am back to work so that will mean a return to split runs and no opportunity to ice after the morning run.

I sat back yesterday and looked at what runs I would like to complete before I turn 50 and what I would run in 2008. So here they are in no particular order:

Before 50: SFT, Gold Coast Marathon, Great Ocean Road Marathon, Glasshouse 80 and 100, Cradle Mountain Ultra, Australian Alpine 100 Mile Ultra, C2K. I also would like to run a 12 and 24hr endurance event.

2008: SFT, Brindabella, Canberra Marathon, Jaggard Bush Marathon, Deep Space Marathon and a few half marathons.
