Friday's run gave me the kick along I needed. I was not happy at missing out on a run yesterday so I was up and out the door at 7.30AM. The run planned was the Two Fruits Loop without any deviations to Isaccs Ridge or Mt Taylor. It was a pleasant morning with a light but cool breeze. I didn't know how long this would last so I had plenty to drink. 2 bottles with me and 1 in a drop bag that I put in the pine trees just before crossing Johnson Drive.

The weather played tricks for most of the run. One moment it looked as if the clouds were building and it would rain then the sun was out and it was quite hot.

The last time I did this run I was on a bike. Glad to be on two feet this time round. Also pleasing that this is my first long run without my foot strapped. I think I can run without support from this point forward.

Nothing of much note on the run, a very large feral cat slinking into the bushes near the resavoir at McArthur. And a rather attractive blonde running in the other direction not far from the finish line. Had I not have just run 30km I might have been tempted to give chase.

Didn't matter about the pace, the distance and time out there will be of great benefit. Better have an easy Monday, ready for Tuesday. Why do all the attractive blondes appear when you are too buggered to turn around and give chase?
