Grrrr Garmin

Morning Run Distance:13:10Km
Afternoon Run Distance:Nil
Other:Stretching
Weekly Total:13:10
Monthly Total:175:92
Yearly Total:398:88
Running Calendar: Weston Creek Half Marathon, Canberra Marathon and something in between.

Just a short run this morning as I had things to do in the garden. The run was ok but I still feel like I am stuck in second gear. It will take some work to get back to the pace I know I can run.

My lack of pace is cause for concern with the Weston Creek Half two weeks away. I no I am not going to run it as quickly as I did last year. So do I run it and be satisfied with the time I get or do I not run at all? Comments welcome. If I do run the result will determine whether I run the Canberra Marathon.

I will have to stick to the runs I know for the moment (11, 13, 20, 25km) as my Garmin has decided that it does not want to work. I turned it on this morning and none of the buttons work. I will ring GME tomorrow to see what it will cost to have the software reset. I expect they will tell me that it is going to be cheaper to buy a new one.

First, Garmin probably is just frozen. If you have the instruction book, it may just tell you to press the pwer button and the reset button at the same time and all should be OK. You will loose anything that has not been reset. It has happened to me twice in two years. Otherwise just email to Garmin in USA and they will reply, I did that once as well.
Second, run Weston Creek as best as you can, better than to know where you are at even if you then decide not to run Canb mthn. Then if you don't run the mthn, you have a goal to aim at if you do the Canb half mthn in May. A samll target at this stage is better than going backwards.
