A slightly longer run this morning to compete my recovery week. No apparent problems have emerged and I feel really good.
On what was a picture perfect morning, I did wish I was doing the run to Bulls Head (maybe next weekend ;), I ran from my place to the sub station, Conder, Banks, Gordon, Pt Hut, river track, Pine Is playground, Bonython track and home.
Not a fast run, this week I have been careful not to push the pace. That will come in the next few weeks.
I have decided not to run Wilson's Prom but put it on the calendar for next year. I'd like to run 80 -100 km first as a supported run and practice a bit more night time running before attempting an unsupported run. If Bush Capital has an 80km race this would be perfect.
So now I am back to square 1 with looking for a May run. My only option it would seem is to run one of the Canberra Festival races - half, full or ultra. OR Forget about May and just train hard for the Bush Capital 60/80 with a view to putting in a big effort. Any thoughts?

I can highly recommend the Great Ocean Road (45km) Marathon - 16 May. It's an awesome run - terrific mix of inclines/declines and glorious views. http://www.greatoceanroadmarathon.com.au/
Kelley and Mick are going down from Canberra. Certainly more interesting than the 50k here.
I would suggest Great Ocean Road marathon in Vic as well. Those unsupported long ultras are very taxing. Could consider Blue Mtns again with the North Face 100 km. That's very difficult as well as carrying a pack.
