I spent a very enjoyable evening on Saturday watching Skyfire. No alarm set for this morning and I woke a lot later than usual. The body must be still trying to catch up on sleep.

I have set a new training plan for the next four weeks.

Sunday - speed session at Calwell Oval
Monday / Thursday - out and backs on the bike paths (for a bit of speed and to get used to the harder tracks)
Friday - rest
Saturday - long trail run (group or solo).

So today was down as a speed session. A slow warm up run down to the track. A group of kids were having their coaching session but they were not on the track.

4 sets x 5 laps in lane 7. Change direction after every set and a rest between sets. Quite simple really. The first set felt good but they got progressively harder. Still I was happy with the final result with 3 sets out of 4 in the 4km zone.

Cool down run/walk back home.

A good effort after yesterday's long run. Things seem to going along nicely.
