Two shorter runs mid week before yesterday's longer run.

I picked up Two Fruits and we joined others in the Cotter running group who have now moved to start at Molonglo Reach. The plan was to join up with Jog who was running from home.

We found her refueling at the War Memorial - she had already run 25km. The plan was to follow the Bush Capital 25km course to the underpass on the Federal Hwy. Just a slow and steady run.

Yeah right - 5:09 pace! Trying to keep up was part of my undoing, the other was underestimating the warm conditions and only taking two bottles instead of three.

It wasn't long before I had dropped off the back. A slower run back to the start than I would have liked. Still an enjoyable run.

This morning I ran the usual to Pine Is. A good run - no stopping and I ran all the hills. I really am having a tough time picking which runner will tun up on a given day.

Thanks for warning me about my lost 'rebel runners'.

Jog needs to upgrade to the 10kg training pack to give us mugs a chance of keeping her in sight!

Guys, guys, my pace is not that fast honestly, certainly not consistently. Last Sun the pack weighed 1/3 what it will weigh on race day so please give me another few chances. I'll be getting slower and slower from now on. Promise. You'll be having a picnic waiting for me soon.
