There is something about the smell of road kill. In a car it lasts for a few seconds and then it's gone. But when you run, depending on which way the wind is blowing, you know your in for something nasty long before you get to it and it stays with you for some time after. Not very pleasant, especially if you get a double dose with an out and back run. Today's run has such an episode with a baby roo at the back of Covenant College. I ran the out and back to Pine Is and when I got back to the sub station I turned to the right and ran and additional 6km around Theodore to make it to the 100km for the week. Yes I calculated it right this week after missing by 600 meters last week.

I'm not sure what it is but after yesterdays run I though I would be slow, but I wasn't. A fast out and and a much improved return which would have had me complete the 20km in just over 2hrs. The pull in my hamstring was gone and my speed appeared to be back.

Forgot to mention yesterdays milestone - 1000km. Along way behind last year but I still have 8 months to catch up. Not sure what I will run tomorrow, I guess it will depend on the weather. A forecast of cold, wet and windy conditions.
