Took the opportunity to sleep in for as long as my conscience would allow me. I hate wasting the day. The plan was to run the out leg to Pine Is and get picked up. But everyone was too busy to pick me up so had to run out and back. Ran the out leg as a tempo and the return was slow. My legs were very tired when I go home.
Drove to Pine Is and stood in the water for 20 mins. Ahhh to power of cold water! Tomorrow is a rest day so they should be right after that.
With Friday being a public holiday there is an extra opportunity to run another mid or long run. Did want to run the Cotter on one of the days, will see if any one else is running either Friday or Saturday otherwise I will run on my own.

I would like to run at Cotter, but I need to do at least 50 km on Fri or Sat so will run from home, returning to eat and drink several times. I have Glasshouse Mtns 80 km on 18th May. Need the extra long runs to get thru in under 10 hours. The Cotter group from vets will be out there at 7:30 am on Sat, you may get someone to go with you from the group for part of the way, I don't think anyone would be going longer than the 15 mile.
Two Fruits, happy to run one or two of the legs with you if you want the company. Just let me know what day.
Yep, company would be good.It is Anzac Day but I don't think the old diggers would mind. I have vet's handicap race on Sunday so I thought Friday long run and an easy run Sat for me. How about something similar to the run we did together a few weeks ago, I leave my place at 8:00am, meet you on the track above your place about 20 minutes later. I usually do about 20km 1st lap, back home to get something to eat, banana, bread roll, drink, then the next lap is slightly shorter, about 15km, then last lap about the same, 15km making about 50km. How does that sound?
The weather at the Cotter in winter can be very unpredicable, so I don't usually go there from May to August. Got caught out there twice when it started to snow, there is no protection with no trees and no short cut to get back quickly.
Two Fruits, look forward to running on Friday. See you on the track.
See you on Friday.
