Not much running this week. At this stage I felt that an extra day of rest was going to do me more good than an extra day of running. Today was a magical morning in which I would really have enjoyed doing a long run with two fruits. Somehow my short run feels like I wasted the opportunity. I HATE THE TAPER! This mornings run was my usual loop which I ran with no pace. It was more an exercise of keeping the legs ticking over.
Only a couple of runs left before the marathon. Sunday, Monday and Wednesday will be very short runs and on Friday I have taken the day off so I will do some laps of Calwell oval and then go and stand in the river.

Just like me, I hate the taper when there are nice days to do long runs. Today, me, 41 kms beaut, you would have enjoyed it. However, a marathon is not to be taken lightly, I like you plans to this week. Better to get to the start line now in one piece than throw away all the good work. Good luck on Sunday, I will miss watching the event, in Vic for a wedding.
