This morning I set out on my long run early. It was the same run that I ran with two fruits several weeks ago. Just a few changes, when I got to the reseviour on Farrer Ridge I ran up and over Mt Taylor and back and I dropped the second run over Wanniassa Hill. When I started the sun was out but it soon clouded over an became cold. A good run and I narrowly missed the 100km mark for the week.

Tomorrow will be a tempo run to Pine Is unless I get a better offer.

Careful with the recovery after the marathon, 42 km on the road will take some getting over even if you don't feel it. I would be keeping the runs shorter, and flatter, a bit quicker, even paced tempo. Plenty of time to resume the real long runs. Your next big event is not until the end of July, now is the time to be really careful. Anything coming up can be done on current training base, there is plenty there, you just need some easy speed work, keep to that while recovering. Mick Corlis ran up Mt Rob Roy today, Sat, and was buggered just doing 9 km after running the 50 km last weekend.
