End Of The Build Up

Run Distance: Mon 16:47, Tue 16:32, Wed 50:06, Thu 16:31, Sat 35:24 + 8:32
Average Pace: N/A
Weekly Total: 173:07
Monthly Total: 610:84
Yearly Total: 2519:01
Running Calendar: Sri Chinmoy 12HR, The Tan 100, Centennial Park 100

Saturday marked the end of the build up for my Sri Chinmoy 12hr run. It's been a pretty solid four weeks and one I capped off with a new PB for the week of 173:07km. The run with Two Fruits over familiar stomping ground was forced to take a detour due to the roo culling in Wanniassa Hill. The upshot was by the end of the run we were 5km short of our original target.
I got home and then straight out the door before I got cold to run another loop of Tuggie Hill. I was so close to a new PB that I couldn't let it slip by. As Two Fruits said "You never know when you will be back that way again".
So now it's back to running shorter during the week, long run Saturday. An extra rest day here and there, I have to keep the winter colds at bay, and some faster tempo work.

I backed up well today at the monthly handicap on an undulating course. It's a tough ask to put out big km weeks, so now is the right time to cut back & get some speed back. Going very well, a good taper & Sri Chinmoy will be great.

TF I took today (Sunday) as a rest day. It was very hard not to put my shoes on and go for a run - such a beaut day.

I too would have liked to have done heaps more kms this morning, but thought better of it. Looking for a nice week to keep on track.
