The running plan took an interesting upward turn this week. A suggestion from Two Fruits to run Calwell oval turned out to be a very rewarding session. Wednesday morning at 6AM I started the first of many laps. Lane 1, walked 1 lap every 5km and ate and drank on that lap. Change direction every 2hrs. 50km in 6hrs was a healthy pace. I liked the session so much that I will do it again in two weeks if the weather is kind.
I have still been able to run my 16km runs at or close to 5km pace so the fast twitch muscles are still firing.
A rewarding week of running with a PB weekly total of 171km. I'll back off a little next week and then put in another big one the week after.
