Yesterday was a return to running following the Canberra Marathon. I have developed a bit of hamstring tightness in the right leg which stems from the lumbar saccral region of the lower back pinching the pirriformis nerve. Annoying, but it hasn't stopped me running, just sitting and sleeping.

I am now ramping up for the second of three major races I will do this year. SFT(done), Bush Capital and the last will be the Deep Space Mountain Marathon. So the plan is for lots of running (time on feet and distance).

A late start yesterday as the neighbours Silver Birch blew down in Friday nights storm. Took out the fence. Luckily my not too bright dog didn't work out there was a gaping hole of about two metres he could walk through to freedom. I ran to Pine Is, river track, dog yard and home. A comfortable run for the first one back.

Today I ran around the back of Conder, Banks, Gordon, Pt Hutt, River Track, Pine Island - no I wasn't tempted to have a soak - and then back home via the back of Bonython. The weather was really foul and I am glad I opted for the long sleeves. Strong wind and rain showers were the order of the day.

Tomorrow I'll do something a little longer. Possibly the Two Fruits loop. Just depends on the weather.

Water temp at Pine Is was 15 degrees last week, but would have dropped another degree by now. I will tempt fate this week. Good to see are back in the groove.
