I've been doing a bit of reading of late and it seems that the key to a successful running technique is a 'neutral spine'. It's not something that comes naturally to me so I have had to work at it. And I think I am starting to see results. I have less of the problems that I have had over the past 11 months. Saturday's run to Pine Is was the fastest I have done for 12 months.

Other than that I am concentrating on getting as many runs in before the Tan 100.

Sounds good. Agree re neutral spine. Karen, the pilates instructor who used to run with us down at Calwell was big on that. We had to do all exercises with neutral spine.

Maintaining a neutral spine is good posture per se. However, in terms of running and optimising race performance it's more likely to benefit sprinters/speedsters than long distance, endurance runners.
