Mt Tennent was the location for this mornings run. The rain started as we headed off up the mountain. Not unpleasant but it made things a little more difficult. It was certainly different to the last few times in the heat.
The run went up the front of Tennent from the visitor's centre, along the saddle and then up to the top. Back down along the saddle and down the Alpine Walking track to Bushfolds flat. Down the fire track to Apollo Road and back up to the top of Tennent.
The plan was to do another loop of Bushfold Flats but the weather looked like it was going to close in so we ran back down the saddle and back to the Visitor's Centre.
The last few times I have done this run I have lost concentration and come a buster. Today I made it down in one piece.
A good run that tests your ability to run and walk, especially when fatigued.

The weather certainly got more yucky as the day wore on today.
Are you planning on doing the Great Ocean Road 45km in May or are you going to skip that and run something else in June/July?
Yes GOR is on the plan. I have had a few niggles over the last week so just wanted to use this weekend to see how I pull up before putting my entry in. I got through today's tough run well. Tomorrow and Monday I will run something a little faster pace and see how that goes.
Excellent! You'll enjoy GOR. The course and views are magnificent (if the weather cooperates and gives you a clear day). And with your recent hill/mt running you'll find the undulating and meandering course in your favour. Go well!
