Running Calendar: Coburg 24HR, Canberra Centennary 100, Hume & Hovell 100 Miler
My running has been a bit hit and miss. I have finally strung together a few weeks around the 100k total. But none of them have been convincing and all very much slower than I would like.
The plan is to keep plugging away and run Coburg. Once I have that out of the way I think I am going to stop racing and get some solid recovery with a view to running a decent Centenary 100 and back it up with Hume & Hovell.
My foot injury has cleared up but it has left me with a secondary problem of a bone in my foot taking all the impact. It's fine for short runs done at pace but progressively gets sorer the longer I run. The next day it has cleared up.
If I can get this fixed then I'll be back to some decent running.

Maybe a shoe change to the Hoka one ones will help?
I second that. I'm a total convert to HokaOnes (see my blog review). Of course you need to be injury free to make a proper assessment of a new style of shoe. No shoe feels good when you're carrying an injury and no shoe is a miracle injury fix. Shame about that ....
