It's been a little while since my last post. I've been working hard on overcoming my foot injury so I could run the Stromlo 12hr. A week out and I was probably only a 70% chance of running and not DNFing. On the night I was probably a little underdone in that I had not run for four+ weeks. I still had some residual endurance from the previous years running.

So how did I go, well I got through 12 hrs and I had an official 96 km or 100 km on the Garmin. So I was pretty please with that. It equated to 12th out of 28 runners. It also shows that I have the mental toughness to keep moving forward even when my feet were sore.

It's given me a degree of confidence that I can go into the Coburg 24 hr and run a decent total. It's time to get cracking with the training.

You looked pretty good when I saw you - left just before Marty dropped out and you looked way better than him!

Good work @ Stromlo. How's your foot post event? There's time to rest and repair pre Coburg :)

How's your injury recovery going? I hope it's progressing with rest, cross training and revised running goals. Remember, it's only temporary :)
