I now have my new orthotics and while it's taken a bit to get used to them the do seem to be taking a bit of pressure off my forefoot.
I have been doing a bit of walking getting used to them and on Friday I ventured out at lunch time for a short run. My feet seemed to cope with it alright which is just as weel because yesterday I was on crewing duty for Two Fruits as he tackled the Brindy 100.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day with a terrific result for Two Fruits. I also had a good outcome as I ran the back part of the run from Mt Franklin to almost Prior's Hut and then back to the finish at Bulls Head.
My foot has held up really well - no foot soreness, in fact no soreness anywhere. I have two weeks to get a bit of running and walking in before the Stromlo 12hr. I'm looking forward to seeing how I go in this one. I will try and not get caught up in the hype that will surround the speedsters in the race.
