I've been very patient with my recovery because it is the only way I will be able to get the long runs done. The podiatrist I saw a few weeks ago was in my opinion not worth a grain of salt. So with no progress in two and a half weeks I went an sought another opinion.

The person I saw has an interest in sporting injuries and after they had all the facts, a video analysis of my gait they were able to tell me the cause, what I needed to do to fix it, how to keep it from happening again and most importantly how long it would take to heal.

So, new orthotics are being made which will correct the problem and assist in the recovery. Still no running but I'm now confident that I will shake this fairly quickly.

With a positive outlook I have entered the Stromlo 12hr in three weeks time. Run, walk or crawl I'll be there.

In the meantime I'm looking forward to manning a drink station for the Rob Roy run tomorrow. Hope everyone knows what they are in for. If Two Fruits has his hand in it you can bet it's going to have big hills. Can't wait to see people's faces as they come through my drink station on the return leg.

But the main focus is next weekend - I'll be helping Two Fruits as he tackles the Brindy 100. He's had a super prep for this one and I can't wait to see him rip this one up.

Hope everyone ahs a good running week.

Don't you like the look when the runners come past after a big hill or a mountain. Most will be cursing, or glad there is only 3 kms to go. Even the 10 km has a few nasty little, gently undulating parts to it.

Thanks for having sports drink there. Even the flat hills were big ones in that humidity. Enjoyed the run though. Might upgrade to the 22.8 next year.
