Running Calendar: Tan 100 - Aug
I seem to be running on the borderline between enough running and too much. So I need to keep an eye out for any signs of over training. In me that means adductor/hip flexor/groin soreness.
I had a little bit of that after running the ACT Half. I pushed pretty hard but a lack of flexibility due to trigger points meant I couldn't stretch out properly. That put extra strain on my hip flexors.
I have been training for the Gold Coast 100. I'm not sure how it got in the mix of my original running plan, but it's been there. I can only afford one more interstate trip so it's either GC or the Tan.
After much umming and ahhing and a FB question that only got one sensible response, I have decided to run the Tan. So now it's time to fine tune the running I already have in my legs.

You had a good half. 4:36 ks - that's my 5k race pace!
Think I'd prefer (not that I do ultras!) the Tan - some up down variation, traffic free and half dirt. GC is flat but on the road (unless they've changed it).
Good choice. I think you'll find it similar to Centennial Park 100km. I may well be in Melb that w'end. Let me know if you need support crew.
I might take you up on that offer Jog, at least for some of the time.
