This week has been a case of magic tricks. After last weeks hilly run I ended up with a slight tracking issue with my right knee. It's a bit hard to pin point the exact cause but I think that a slight increase in weight from a party the night before and running hard on the downhills on the Saturday run caused trigger points in the ITB which made the knee to track incorrectly.

So I was not confident how far I would get with my run yesterday. I had taken an anti inflam and pain killers before I ran but it was still causing a bit of discomfort. About 10km into the run, as if by magic, the knee fixed itself and there were only a few signs that there had been any sort of problem.

The knee was a little stiff this morning so I went to the river and stood in it for 30 mins. The cold water did it's trick and now there is no sign of any problem. I'll rest it today and will be back into it again tomorrow. Three hill runs and two flat runs scheduled for next week before a very long endurance building run next Saturday.
