It seems that every run I do is into the teeth of an arctic gale. There's nothing wrong with that but mix it with rock bottom temperatures and you end up with a run that becomes a case of get it done rather than an enjoyable outing.
Still, despite the unhospitable elements I managed a few 18k runs at 4:53 pace which the best I have done for a long time.
Mixed feelings about not running GC100. I looked at the list of entrants and would have loved to run with some of them. On the other hand 100ks in the rain may not have been that pleasant. Maybe next year.
