Well it's been a little over a week since I ran the Tan 100. The hype and back slapping has all finished and it's time to focus on the 'what's next'.
My running is a little slow at the moment and I still have a nagging chest cold. So the first priority is getting these right and then get back into some serious running.
There are lots of runs I would like to do but it's not the right time. GOW has been on my wish list for a long time but it will have to wait until next year.
So at this stage I have some local runs on my plan between now and early January 2012 but not much else.
I'm looking forward to some warmer weather and being able to move out to some longer running at the Cotter.

I talked to carol Baird at Tuesday group run. She is running Mt Wilson to Bilpin this weekend to qualify for SFT, soft target. She ran at the Cotter last Sat, the workers weren't too happy with them running on the construction road with the trucks about, but they went on anyway. Vanities was just over knee deep, and absolutely freezing. I can't wait to get out there as well, just need to be able to make it around the circuit.
Better give me a week or two then I will be back to join in Sat running again. A short rest after Tan won't hurt at all.
Not sure what GOW is, but it sounds good. As for the Cotter, even the 15 miler is a good 5 miles too far for me these days.
GOW is the Great Ocean Walk. It's a run from Apollo Bay to the Three Apostles. Covers mostly on single trails, no roads.
Ah, that sounds like my kind of run - love single tracks. Would be happy if 6' was all single tracks (and all downhill!)
