Somewhere between running the Bush Capital and today's run I seem to have lost my hill legs. I've been running plenty of flat speed work but have lost my hill legs that I built over the course of the last year.

It showed this morning with a run from the Cotter to Bendora Dam Road and back. It wasn't a bad run but it just wasn't as easy as the last few outings to this neck of the bush. A really nice morning to be out and about.

I might have to find another lunch time run that takes in Black Mtn, Gun Barrel and a bit of the Cork Plantation just to add a few hills.

Thanks to Two Fruits, Mick, Nick and Robbie for the company on today's run. See you next weekend for Mt Tennent. Interesting to see Ruth's Facebook - the snakes are starting to come out, very early!

Maybe alternate hilly and flat runs during the week?

Stick to the middle of the trails! I saw a brown coming off Mt McDonald once. Also chased for a bit by one not far after Padovans.
